Umang Vats is currently pursuing her Masters in Disaster Management at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She is a graduate in Computer Science Honours from the University of Delhi.  She has internship experiences of working with the communities in Kohlapur, and Mumbai city where she researched upon vulnerability assessments and Disaster Risk Reduction in Development respectively. She is interested in using a participatory approach in her researching endeavours to ensure strong representation of the narrative of the communities. Her interest lies in Social Advocacy, Disaster Recovery, Machine Learning, Conflict Management, Research and Disaster Response.
