Why you should work with us?
PCI undertake structured research and carry out field-study projects to explore constructive solutions on important policy issues in an institutionalised manner. PCI would prefer to harness the skills of their scholars by providing them with an opportunity to work for the field-study projects and writing research reports. Along with that, we conduct a succession of academic events; workshop, seminar, lecture series. As a staff/scholar, you are entitled to work and attend all the events conducted by the PCI. PCI creates a rich pool of evidence-based research work by giving a platform to their staff/scholars to share their original work in varied forms; report, research-based article and, opinion their work would be displayed on the web-portal. They also can explore an opportunity to publish their research articles, book review, commentary in the PCI owned journal.

We do our best to match the qualifications and interests of our interns with research and consulting projects to which they can contribute most. PCI – Remote Internship Programme
PCI offers internships for scholars and students from diverse backgrounds, proficient in English, to work under various PCI programmes and initiatives. Interns may be assigned administrative, editorial, research, writing or organisational tasks to support the programme or initiative to which they have been assigned.
Eligibility for Intern/ Scholar
Research Scholar should be pursuing a Ph.D. from a research institute or the university in India or abroad. S/he should have at least one research publication and relevant work experience.
Research Intern should be pursuing a Masters or MPhil from a research institute or the university in India or abroad. Research Interns primarily helps in generating content for reports and policy briefs for PCI.
Applicants should have a background in a subject like Law, Economics, Public policy, Public administration, or Management.
Common Duties and Responsibilities
- Report to the Research Coordinator and Project leader
- Collect data, conduct literature search and literature review
- Data analysis and Report writing
- Content development- Preparing inception reports, project implementation plans
- Writing regular opinion/ articles on the relevant topics
- Writing research/project proposals
- Writing grant proposals
- Monitor national and global newsfeeds and selected websites on think tanks, policy advice and project-specific issues.
- Participate in career development and research related lectures and events
- Other related duties as assigned.
Compensation:
PCI provides unpaid internships as we do not need interns to move to Delhi to perform these functions although a stipend for commuting costs is available. On the completion of the internship, interns will be provided with an internship certificate. The interns/ research scholars will be paid the remuneration if they are a part of a funded research project.
Our internship is a rigorous writing based internship, we seek only those who really love writing and can produce atleast 10k words a month.
