Vision
Policy Change Initiative (PCI) runs under the aegis of “The Change Foundation”, a non-profit making organization based in New Delhi, India. Our vision is to advance advocacy through independent research in a bipartisan, neutral, rational and innovative way to provide an inclusive platform to formulate and promote renewed policy ideas. The organisation aim to conduct and promote high-quality evidence-based research and training; provide government bodies, private organizations, and academic institutions with practical and innovative recommendations; and influence decision-making.
Mission
We formulate and promote public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, new public management, facilitating government, individual freedom, non-traditional Indian values, and a strong national defence. The PCI in collaboration and direct engagement with decision-makers in government, civil society and business communities are dedicated to providing strategic insights and policy solutions to bring the enormous benefit of multiple national and international viewpoints to local, regional and global issues.
We work as a policy think tank that develops and promotes alternative solutions to issues concerned with the society. We critically analyse the plan, program, projects and policies of the government and aim to provide strategic insights and policy solutions for the betterment through collaborating with likeminded individuals, groups and organizations at the national and international levels. To undertake policy analysis and making policy recommendations in view of changing the socio- economic and political conditions in the country.
Who we are
PCI being in nascent stage committed to build full-time staff and the large network of preeminent scholars and experts to conduct in-depth research and analysis on topics of national and international relevance and develop policy initiatives that look to the future and anticipate change. PCI will make sure to be regularly called upon by government decision making agencies, the discussion forums, and the media houses to explain and offer bipartisan recommendations to improve the nation’s policy strategy.

How we do
PCI focuses on the research-based objective analysis of contemporary policy issues of significance. The organization aims at constructively impacting policy formulation process with an emphasis on good governance practices, efficient implementation mechanisms and evidence-based policymaking including policy-audit and evaluation in the larger interest of the nation.
The rationale behind the establishment of PCI is to undertake structured research and carry out field-study projects to explore constructive solutions on important policy issues in an institutionalized manner. PCI broadly works in the area of public policy to explore constructive solutions to important policy issues through discussions, debates, seminars, study circles and brainstorming sessions.
What We Do
We study public policies with a dedicated, objective, and an unbiased approach. We strive to initiate policy changes by publishing our research and by framing policy debates and discussions on various subjects. We seek to carry out research projects and worked on policy papers for government bodies, private institutions, and academia; many of which have had a profound impact at the governance level. Innovative policy solutions and ideas that are in sync with global technological revolutions, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development are the key components of our policy research.
Initiating reform
PCI has a view that India remains impoverished in the absence of substantial research in many areas that impact the everyday life of Indian citizens. PCI has initiated a new interest in critical interrogations of existing institutions and practices to examine how the reform of public policy, institutions and public law; the creation and establishment of procedures and rules lead to greater efficiency, transparency, and accountability and challenge to make governance more inclusive and participatory.
Policy Research
PCI seeks to lead and aid policy thinking towards building a strong and prosperous India in a fair and equitable world. PCI helps discover and inform India’s choices. It carries Indian voices and ideas to forums shaping global debates. It provides non-partisan, independent, well-researched analyses and inputs to diverse decision-makers in government and non-government organisations, corporates, academia and civil society around the world.
Policy Advocacy
PCI seeks to translate theory into practices of governance and by initiating debate, sharing research and providing a platform for dialogue between the academia, government, civil society and international agencies. PCI produces rigorous, peer-reviewed research and directly engages the policy process, seeking strategies that emphasize cooperation, flexibility, local knowledge, transparency, accountability, and results. PCI seeks to change the way people think about issues, and promote policies that allow and encourage individuals and voluntary institutions to flourish.
