Arun Kumar Bairwa is a PhD Scholar in Economics at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore, India. He works on ‘Industrial Policy and Labour Reforms’ with the special focus on “Inclusive Growth in Indian Economy through Employment Generation in the Manufacturing Sector”. He has published a paper on “Does financial inclusion affect monetary policy in SAARC countries?” in Cogent Economics and Finance, Taylor & Francis Online. In this paper, he has done a cross-country analysis by constructing a Financial Inclusion Index by using Principal Component Analysis.

During his PhD, he particularly analysed the employment probabilities of the Indian individuals working in the primary, secondary and tertiary sector for employment. His four research papers of PhD are in under-review process in the renowned international journals of SSCI and Scopus indexing.

He presented his doctoral thesis work at three international conferences held at/by: 1) Fudan University and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law at Wuhan, China, 2). The Indian Econometric Society (TIES), Jammu Kashmir, 3). Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod. Additionally, he actively puts his opinion in daily newspaper editorials and his last two editorials were published in Deccan Herald and Telangana Today.

Before joining PhD at IIT Indore, he worked as an Academic Associate at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore. There he was responsible for working with faculties of economics for preparing course outline, identifying and collecting reading materials, developing teaching notes, grading of class participation and quizzes, examinations, assignments and invigilation. His dissertation topic during his Masters was “the capability and concentration analysis of the Indian automobile industry”.

He has strong dexterity in handling computation software and has specialization in STATA, R Studio, MS Excel Advanced, SPSS and E-Views for handling large datasets. In addition to such software, he often works on HTML, CSS, LaTex and other computer languages.

He has a strong knowledge of both Zotero and Mendeley software for reference management. This software is used for efficiently classifying the research material so that writing work shall go as smooth as possible.
