Manoswini Sarkar is presently pursuing a master’s degree in Development Studies at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva. She has done her graduation and postgraduation in Political Science and International Relations from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. She is also an SYLFF research fellow from the Tokyo Foundation for Policy Research and has worked on the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and issues of gender empowerment as a part of her research project. Previously, she also worked with several non-profit organisations in various capacities. Her research interests range from international development to international relations, environmental policy, gender and education.
