Prakash is a PhD candidate at the Center for Development Studies, University of Allahabad, Allahabad. He is currently working with Haritika organization in Katni District (M.P.) as a Project Coordinator handling HRDP projects funded by HDFC bank under its CSR activity & also preparing concept notes for approval and project proposals for grant from different funding agencies for Haritika as well as handling field work for the implementation of the project on the ground level and interacting with villagers, gram panchayats & government officials.
He received his M.Phil degree (2015-16) in Natural Resource Management with special reference to climate change from one of its kind having national importance institute in India, “Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal (M.P.)” on the dissertation “Problems and Prospects Associated with Guava Producers: A Case Study of Allahabad District, Uttar Pradesh.” and published his M.Phil thesis in the form of research article in international journal “IOSR Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (IOSR-JHSS) Volume 23, Issue 6”. During his study period, he has learned many aspects of adaptation, mitigation and sustainable management of natural resources and climate change and participated in a training programme on “Participatory management of natural resources, livelihood, development and climate change adaptation” conducted by RECOFTC- The Center for People and Forest, Thailand. In which he has learned about the participatory approach of a community to maintain natural resources and its sustainable use and how they maintain their livelihood through locally available resources and its impact on climate change.
He worked as a Junior Research Fellow in State Forest Research Institute, Jabalpur (M.P.) on the project “The Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights Act), 2006 its implementation and impact in Madhya Pradesh.” He also got first prize in National seminar on Climate Change and Role of Communities for Adaptation and Mitigation conducted by S.F.R.I. Jabalpur (M.P.)
He has done his Masters degree in Development Studies in 2014 from University of Allahabad. which is an interdisciplinary course including Urban development, Corporate governance and development, comparative development of Latin America, Asia and Africa, Regional development and Poverty elevation, inequality and development related to different aspects of development not at nationally but also at global level. After completing his post-graduate degree he worked for eight months as a Project trainee in Pragya Organization in Kinnaur district, Himachal Pradesh on providing electricity and training for using renewable sources of energy for which they have provided them with Solar Wind Hybrid System in Shiaso village.
His research area of interest includes the Natural Resource Management, Research and Extension, Renewable sources of energy, Sustainable Development Management, Climate Change and Livelihood.
