Being a research scholar at Policy Change Initiative, she will focus on the socio-economic aspects affecting the agrarian society and the regional inequalities persistent in the high altitude areas in India.

As a scholar on refugees and minorities with Policy Change Initiative, she will focus on the political-economic and security implications of the refugees and migrants on the host countries, challenges for the refugees in West Asia, role of India in providing humanitarian assistance, status and problems of minorities along with other social-political reforms occurring in West Asia.

Shailesh Kumar is a D.Phil. Candidate at School of Law, Birkbeck, University of London, United Kingdom. He is a recipient of the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship 2017 and Ronnie Warrington Graduate Teaching Assistantship 2017-2018 to pursue a full-time PhD in the UK.

His areas of interest include the issues related to National Security, Threats of Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism, al-Qaeda and Franchise Terrorism, Intelligence Studies and Regional Strategic issues in West Asia. He is a specialized researcher in the field of defence and strategic studies and working as a Research Assistant (West Asia Centre) in the Institute for Defence Studies and Analysis.

As an education policy scholar with Policy Change Initiative, she will add the valuable ingredients to the public notion of education in India. She considerately put forward her opinion, India is accommodating the largest resourceful base of the youthful population in the world, and a chiseled and structured reformed educational policy would be the need for a better India.

As a Media scholar at the Policy Change Initiative, she will primarily be working on the changes in media activities ranging from Journalism to Cinema.

Prerna is a Doctoral candidate in United States Studies Program, Centre for Canadian, United States & Latin American Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She intends to look at the triangular relations between US, China, and Taiwan and explore the prospects of managing peace and stability in East Asia region.

Within Policy Change Initiative she is associated with the study area of social welfare, human rights, and neo-liberalist policies. Her area of interest includes the domain of welfarism, drug trafficking, the foreign policy of central Asia, human security issues etc. These are strongly highlighted in the academic paper published and presented by her both nationally and internationally. As a public policy scholar at the Policy Change Initiative, she will primarily be working on the various aspects of welfare policies in India.
